KENDRICK JOHNSON FOUNDATION WILL HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON DC

The Kendrick Johnson Foundation will hold a press conference at noon on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in the nation's capital.

The location (Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial) is to be confirmed (TBC) by the National Park Service. (Permit No: 241549)

Jacquelyn Johnson, founder of the Kendrick Johnson Foundation and one of the leaders of the group that has become known as the 50 Mother's of Georgia, an advocacy and support group of African Americans mother's joined by the tragedy of having a murdered child and the injustices they encountered and continue to encounter in the state of Georgia, will be the keynote speaker.

The Johnson Family has been fighting for justice for nearly 12 year for the murder of high school sophomore Kendrick Johnson. He was found dead from severe injuries along with evidence of a two-prong stun gun use. His body was discovered inside of a tumbling mat inside the Lowndes County High School gymnasium. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations contends Kendrick had no significant injuries and died from a “freak” accident.

Kenneth Johnson will speak about their historic civil rights lawsuit against Georgia authorities currently in the 11th circuit Court of appeals and all the irregularities Mr Johnson and his wife continue to experience.

Jonathan Burrs, the Johnson family spokesperson and civil rights advocate will speak on the status of civil rights for African Americans in the United States, the challenges, and the documented pervasive corruption in the federal judiciary.
